In Oakland there are many innocent people who passed away because of either being in a gang or just being in the wrong place at the wrong time. I myself have family members in Oakland who are in a gang. Gangs are a very popular thing since back in the day.Back in the days gangs were very different. Back then the gangs would not go against the same raise.Now everybody is just killing each other for no good reasons.Gangs have kids about the age of 13 and up.Now little kids look up to older siblings and decide they want to be in a gang to.People who get in gangs always end up being in jail , getting shot or being dead. Many people in Oakland are scared of gang bangers they see them at juvenile delinquents even if they may be a really great person. Most gang bangers feel like they are cool if they carry a weapon. Also many gang bangers have a big percentage that have done a drug at least once in a lifetime or have tried alcohol. In my point of view gangs are a childish type of thing. People have to do there own thing and not get other people involved. There many different types of little gangs some that have a lot of people and some that don't.I myself wish my family members were not in gangs ,i would not want them to get in trouble or get hurt. Some gang bangers get tattoos that have a meaning to it

This what you see here is a image of what you call surenos. In Oakland there are not many surenos.Surenos claim the number 13.Surenos also claim the color blue.

This is a picture of what people seem to call nortenos. Nortenos claim the color red so they always own stuff that are red if the wear blue they consider them as leva's because its the color of the rival gang. In Oakland there are nortenos in the 40's to downtown Oakland. In Oakland nortenos are a well-known thing. Nortenos claim the number 14. There are many nortenos in downtown Oakland .

This is a picture who a gang banger from the gang border brothers that is well known in Oakland has tagged in a private property. I consider these taggings as vandalism .Border brothers always right on walls putting the street number that they claim , if somebody who they know passed away or is in jail they wrote free and the name of the person or r.i.p and the name of the person after.Border brothers always do taggings in black because they claim that color.
